Brian Cheeswright is a contemporary Artist working between the mediums of painting and drawing. His work shifts easily between figurative and abstract subjects while his focus is within the ongoing, endless possibilities of picture making afforded by the end of history. His work is rooted in the autobiographical and the very questioning of the concept of the isolated, struggling Artist. Cheeswright is also deeply interested in the possibilities of the unconscious as first put forward by Jung and Freud and seeks through his creative action to both understand and invent himself over and over.
